I’m laying aside the fact that I’ve always been rather multi-denominational and have honored many aspects of the Divine since I was a preteen so I can see where I am headed in my musings.
The first aspect of Goddess I connected with on a deep level with was Elen of the Ways. She is also known as Nahelenia or St. Helen. At that time all I could really find out about Her was on a couple of online sites and in a MZB book; I had to really meditate and listen and connect with Her in my own way.
After some time it became apparent that she absolutely is Goddess of the paths or ways that are available. Whether they are dream paths or earth paths, She is present always. She is the stars that shine so I can walk the path of my choosing.
Later on I would honor Her in a project, saying:
She is Protectress of the Pathways; whether they are physical, mental, or spiritual paths. She is Guardian of all who journey.
”Oh lady of the moonpath bright,
and Sea-lanes laid by sun’s fair rays,
the Dragon paths from height to height,
and all the hidden holy ways
Oh Lady Elen of the Ways…”

the Dragon paths from height to height,
and all the hidden holy ways

The next aspect of Goddess I deeply connected with was Liban. She is truly an empowering aspect of Goddess that speaks to me of being who I am, and enjoying me, as I am. I would go on to reflect upon and write about Her qualities as “health, abundance, resilience, freedom, expression and protection, pleasure” I have learned from Liban well, to live authentically.
Elen and Liban work well together and I think that if perhaps I had not taken the step to offer myself in Elen’s service that I may not have steps out so bravely on all the many paths I honor.
The next aspect of Goddess that I felt deep connection with was Psyche. She is still teaching me about knowing who I am and how to explore myself so that my daily life has peace during transformations. Through the tasks given to her, I have been able to learn from Her path and “redirect the focus inward, where our true source of power resides.”
Psyche, together with Elen and Liban formed a long standing triad of Goddess aspects that I adored deeply. They consistently give me Emotional, Mental, and Physical aspects of Goddess to embrace.
I explored other aspects of Goddess (Calliope, Oya, Cerridwyn, etc…), and honored them in mini rituals and such…but never connected as deeply as I had with Elen, Liban and Psyche until I met Hestia. Hestia is deep emotion, ardent service…She is the deep firey heart.
Earth, Water, Air, Fire…… I suppose I could say. And what comes to mind is that for Spirit… I simply said/thought “Goddess” … as in She who is All the Aspects. This brings me to where I sat this morning and afternoon.
If I took all of the crayons from the box and scribbled wildly on white paper……….I would get a deep, dark and fathomless color that I would not be able to define as one specific color….. The scribbles would be black. I would know this because every color imaginable resides in the color black. Even in the dark black I can make out silver and red, and gray. It’s a lot like night and being in the dark…. You see flashes of colors…. Swirls and glitters. Moon and Stars. I only know the color of black because I know the other colors….. My primary colors. My primary aspects of Goddess. It makes sense that this new deep acquaintance is Night. (Nyx, Nox…etc…) because She is each of these Goddesses…. The Blue of Liban, the Green of Elen, the Red of Hestia and the gorgeous rainbow of Psyche.
